This is a “Girls Power” special show with guest hostess Leslie Caprow. Bob was there but didn’t want to upset the flow of greatness. Leslie has been the Medicare agent and Medicare voice of America’s Diabetes Hour for the past three years. Open Enrollment is beginning now and will close on December 7. She is with the Senior Health Group here in Las Vegas — “At 65, We Have Answers”.
Joyce Malaskovitz has a storied legacy throughout her 36 years as a nurse. She has accomplished much, collected many awards and remains passionate about Diabetes education, research and knowledge-sharing. She is the Director of The Diabetes Treatment Center at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center.
Rita Schmidt continues to inspire as the Outpatient Coordinator of the award-winning Desert Springs Diabetes Treatment Center. Among her responsibilities are the marketing of the outpatient program to the community, and maintaining the accreditations with the ADA and AADE. She also is responsible for curriculum programs, self-management education for both hospital outpatients and inpatients. And together with Joyce, continues to educate bariatric patients such as Bob Fisher.
This show is really a Medicare and Diabetes 101. Topics included Diabetes Basics and Prevention.
