The momentum for the first standalone movie in the Star Wars franchise began Thursday, December 15, 2016. The Walt Disney Studios film opened in 4,100 North American theaters. The early rave reviews — including from this film critic certainly point to one of the largest domestic box office openings in film history.

ROGUE ONE tells the prequel Star Wars story featuring the Rebels, who stole the plans to the Death Star, featured in 1977’s original Star Wars: Episode IV — A new Hope. There is an intensity, excitement and non-stop action in Rogue One from the opening scene until the credits begin to roll. Credit all of the following:
